There are many elements to the philosophy behind
the Earth Town Network.

THE PEACE PRINCIPLES

The primary Earth Town building blocks are the Peace
Principles as brought to traditional societies by the Great
Peacemaker.

The three Peace Principles are:
1) Always work for Peace.
2) Always work for Unity.
3) Always Carry a Good Message.

While simplistic and straightforward these principles have
great depth and provide the bedrock for the growth of
stable relationships between humans.

CONSERVATION
Conservation of resources will be emphasized.

LIVING WITH THE WHOLE
A respect for the natural world and all forms of life will be
encouraged.

BALANCE
Human wants and desires will be tempered by considerations for the
rest of Nature.

GRIEF
Traditional societies 'combed the grief' out of the people on a daily
basis.
Helping each other process our grief will help the community to grow.

CEREMONY
Living our lives as ceremony will be one of our goals.

COMPANIONSHIP
Living near a group of liked minded souls is very reassuring.

In general Earth Towns are created to provide the space for members to
work towards their personal visions. They are cultural baskets for people to
form deeper bonds with each other and the earth. There are no social rules
so each town can evolve into the form that best serves it's members. By
sharing journeys between towns we can help each other grow and evolve. The
Towns are a type of 'AA support group' for Emerging Earthlings.

Note that you will own your land, providing a place for your personal
processes and privacy.
